Not an an area I have really looked at, perhaps I should open the OS map of the area, unless perhaps there was an invite in the air from a local knowledge expert. ;)
You live in an excellent area for trail riding, countless lanes around Llanelli/Lllandovery
you are correct there are a few around my patch, and I do or have ride/ridden the majority of them but as many others I would imagine new area's,trails or roads are always welcomed to try. but obviously no leisure riding here at the moment
a few?? … there are LOADS of trails near you Paul. .. but perhaps not suitable for a 1200 ??
Brechfa, Amanford Lanes, Llandeilo Lanes, .. then there is Mid Wales, and Caerphilly Mountain TET etc, and some around Llandovery area. ?? etc etc etc

sad faces because I can not go and play as I live in Wales
Yes Gary I ride the areas you have suggested but as I do ride a fair bit and I am the type that likes variety therefore I am always looking for good new areas to ride perhaps that is not as common a concept as I thought it might be. Yes me as a pilot and the GS do have its limitations and I enjoy the bigger challenge of trying to work out a suitable plan/route that is doable for this combination with consideration to ground condition, tyre situation etc included, but it can also be nice to occasionally take advantage of someone else's Local knowledge too. I have seen quite a few pics of the Bath area (trails) courtesy of the posters on here so that got me thinking it would be new without needing a bigger plan.

I wouldn't be thinking about doing the Bath lanes on a big GS, they're a bit too snotty for that. I know that some guys have but it isn't fun.

North of Bristol/Bath you have the Fosseway and surrounding lanes, those would be perfect for your bike.

Completely agree.
The one with this pic on could be managed on a big bike but I watched a YouTube video recently of someone doing the Great Western TET and he commented on this lane being the worst on the whole route round.
I know if a C90 can do it, but most of the time I end up lifting and dragging it places cause it gets too knarly and that’s with a very lightweight bike

Great photos and some tough looking trails. The camera always makes a track look easier than it actually is but those photos do justice to them. I begin to wish i never sold my C90.

Paul …. Richard Simpson mark 1 .. led me on an interesting ride .. the drovers, I think .. near Salisbury/Bath area???

perhaps he coulde elucidate …

unless of course he is too high and mighty now that he has upgraded his marque and also become bionic 8-) 8-)

.. also loads around Salisbury plain, bath, Swindon etc.
best to go to Salisbury plain with a knowledgeable leader .. lots of easy gravel stuff , but also some naughty sludge grooves

cant think where this is now .. but is further east, in Wiltshire ..
