We'd been riding for hours seeing very little in the way of civalisation , then Carcassone came into view , we only stopped for 20 mins , way to many tourists , but if you've never been its not to be missed

And after a tiny bit of disappointment of a tad to much road we are now 90% off

I normally carry a note pad to jot down place names but forgot it this trip so can't say where we were most of the time , but this day ended with a wildcamp with running water

Image20180826_183033 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

As were set up camp a van turned up and pulled over to a concrete slab and wall , Steve asked if it was ok to camp and what he was doing ,he said "yes no worries and he was filling his water tank for his animals"......so Steve took a shower

Nice pics Phil.

For anyone going to Carcassonne - it is really well worth the trip. The castle and the superb walled town are great. But avoid all national holidays and school holidays, and go round the citadel in the early evening when the coaches have left. We've been there and virtually had the whole place to ourselves. If you pick your time carefully. And it has possibly the best chocolate shop in all christendom... :D

Image20180827_084002 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

Well impressed with the 400 running a 14/52 its eating trails and happy at 80km/h on the road and giving me over 20km/l

Image20180827_084027 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

Dropped of the trails into .......a town........ ;) i need ya Bob .......where were we  ......i do remember it had bars ,cafe and shops

Image20180827_085929 by Philip Parkinson, on Flickr

Also remember loosing the track after there, at time the trail runs very close to a road and is very hard to tell the right way untill you've done a klick or 2 , anyhow we back tracked , not for the first time and got on the right route to top out here

Nice one Phil, keep it coming.

That town with the bridge photo looks like Lagrasse I think.
