Onward and upward and this part of Italy is a full on contrast to the horrible industrial lump i'd just come through.
Lots of old fortifications and things like this big old gun
Maybe some Italian speaker could translate this !!!!
And why dose religon have this manic obsesion of finding the most difficult building plot ??????????????
But it nice up here (thumbs)
VIDEO STILL LOADING I'LL PUT IT IN LATER (thumbs)
Looks like Slartibartfast has been up here
This looked really inviting but i had places to be
The begining of the trail of the gorge in the last pic.......got it logged ,in fact the whole area is book marked B)
It wasn't long before the rain set in !!! but, hey ho ......being a "CLAY TECHNICIAN" i had to stop at this
From the dates on the board i deduced it was a first world war fortification
Traveled a fair distance passing loads of great views but the rain kept me moving !!! well untill this looooooommmmmed up :woohoo:
The whole of this area must have seen some real horrors during the 1st W.W. this monument was MASSIVE and dedicated to French and Italian soilders
The whole of the day at each stop i checked my phone as i'd arranged to hook up with Steve W off here and we sorted a RV at Belleuno !!!
The rain continued
i started to grow gills after 3hrs
Came into belleuno from the S W and Steve came in from the N i arrived first so found a dry spot and called Steve
It was like some sort of Itialian BxQ that had a big concrete porch !!! it did the job , so i settled in to wait .......and wait and wait and wait !!!!!
This was over the road from my dry spot so told Steve and waited !!!
And these guys were practicing winching rescues
SOMETHING WAS OBVIOUSLY WRONG !!!!!
After an hr or more we arranged to meet at a point we both new !!!turns out there's two roads into Belluno !!!!!!
FINALLY WE MET UP :woohoo: and after the usual kisses and cuddles we headed off for Slovenia B)
