A few Cotswold lanes.

Post by Treadtrader »

It was a last minute decision to ride a few Cotswold lanes yesterday.
First thing we had to do was get Aluns DRZ running.
Drained the carb of old fuel, drank a coffee and had a fag, fresh fuel and it fired into life!
Off we went on a dry, sunny morning, but just about everywhere we went that low sun was in our eyes. B)
After a few lanes stopped for a fag, heres the culprits.

Theres a good mixture of lanes in the Cotswolds, some stoney lanes, others a bit rutted and many with huge puddles, a couple of challenging climbs for the conditions, but all good fun.

Then we got to one of the water crossings, or bike wash. :)

We were having a quiet fag after getting wet when we heard this lot coming.

Seems they do this run once a year, nice to see the old trucks being used.

After another couple of lanes Alun and I split off for the late afternoon cold ride back home.

All in all a nice day in the country. (thumbs)

Nice 1. Pity you didn't get a picture of the car coming through the water.
Nice to some old vehicles been used.

Cheers Dave.

The Cotswolds lanes can be very muddy at this time of year, with all the rain I expected that ford to be higher.

We went through most of the usual fords in the area, surprised me how little water was in them.
Plenty of big puddles in other areas to make up for it though.

We'll have to get something sorted soon, I've not been out for a while either :)
