In my opinion one of the best things about travel is meeting people and coming into contact with different cultures. I bumped into these two Sadhus just outside Kathmandu.
Sadhus are wandering monks, who have left behind all material and sexual attachments and live in caves, forests and temples in Nepal and India.

Only in America.....:woohoo:
Treat every situation like a dog..
If you can't hump it or eat it, piss on it and walk away.

Wherever I go, I come across religious features that astound me, here's one from Bardonecchia in Italy;

Re:Show us your favourite travel photos
I've travelled mostly in Europe and even then not as extensively as some but our most exotic trip was to South America: 7.5K miles around Argentina and Chile and so it seemed appropriate to pick the more unusual trip. As for the trip itself, Argentina marked up both more than Chile: Patagonia, with its huge empty spaces, touched us deep inside and left a real impression. However, it was not for its landscapes' visual qualities. In this respect, Chilean was the more spectacular.
Indeed, we struggled a bit with Chile at first: it seemed to tame after its neighbour to the East. That changed when we arrived South of the Pumalin gap and reached the northern-most end of the Carretera Austral.
This was to be some of the most breathtaking views we had and one of the best bits of unsealed road we did (which is saying something as I was by no means comfortable on the dirt...). I love glacial landscapes and the huge vistas this little meandering ribbon of gravel offered us was spectacular.
So, with no disrespect to the rest of our trip the following two photos sum up a lot of what we'd looked for on our trip. Beauty, isolation, wilderness.

I cannot take credit for taking this photo which I badly scanned, that goes to travelling Sam. But here are our two GS and some handsome chap who no longer has a beard, in the Rajasthan desert at a place also called Sam near Jaisalmere, where they have Sahara like dunes.
A wise man is one who doesn't make the same mistake once.

Norway on top of the Dalsnibber, a serpentine loose shale track allows access to the top. Looking down on the Gairanger Fjord 1500m below is breathtaking
