Post by johnnyboxer »

Something new to grapple with for next year

Fingerprinting and photo will be needed in addition to your passports

Queues ahead and also more personal data stored online, about yourself

We buy things we don't need

With money we don't have

To impress people we don't even like

Not good news but I wonder why the same government doesn't fingerprint and phot all these "Illegal immigrants floating across in boatloads"
I am almost getting to the point of saying bugger going to mainland Europe I will stay over here.
I am almost sure Spanish are doing all they can to reduce all the hard work needed to enter Spain

Wasn’t there an incident a couple of years ago when over 1 million people’s biometrics, including fingerprints, were stolen from a data storage provider?

Unless it is a totally secure system, which I doubt it could ever be, then surely providing our fingerprints to an overseas third party is going to be a bit of a worry…

Just wait until cash is abolished, HMRC have total access to your bank accounts and can help themselves at any time and all retail transactions are completed via iris recognition.

"In the future you will own nothing, and you will be happy"

In the shorter term, I've just had to turn down a trip to America because of the hoops I would have to jump through to get a US journalist visa. As a technical writer, I'm obviously some kinda potential commie/mouslime/goddamterrorist. But I could go to Mexico, head north, walk around the end of Mr Trump's uncompleted wall and set up home courtesy of Mr Biden.

It's a funny old world, and I'm glad I'm getting old

So the EU controlling their borders from would be third country immigrants, like quite a few Brits voted in favour of. Although I believe that wasn’t the Brexit they voted for.
It’s probably the French, or the remoaners, or the pandemic. Get used to it, this is what 52% voted for.
Anyway, I’m currently enjoying the rest of my 90 days in the warm Southern European sunshine before returning to the damp isle. Here’s to hoping this new fingerprint border control’s running smoothly by the time my next 90 days commence.

But that nice Mr Rees-Mogg said it would only apply to them, not us.

Do keep up old boy!

Ever been to the USA? It’s the same data.
