Tuesday .... and the forecast is even hotter so a change of plan is needed in an effort to keep cool (down to a much nicer 25 degrees). GPS set for Galloway forest via Kelso, Cappercluch, Moffat, Dumfries and the Coastline  below the Galloway forest before a stopover in Newton Stewart. Some fantastic and empty roads with lovely scenery that we have previously ridden straight passed on our way up North. 120 miles.

Wednesday, forecast was overcast and cooler. Feeling a bit tired we decided to chill out a bit and did a route around the Galloway forest taking in Girvan, Dalmellington, New Galloway, Gatehouse of Fleet, Kirkudbright and an overnight stop near Castle Douglas. Nice last minute booking on the Loch was great. 120 miles.

Thursday .... we headed back over to Kielder forest which we had previously diverted around due to the hot weather before riding along Hadrians Wall with various stops to take in the sites. Around 2pm we stopped for a drink to sort out the digs for the night but the wet weather forecast for Friday made our minds up to head back South. Another stop at Tebay services had us putting on the waterproofs and the decision was taken to just blast home. Bikes in the garage and a Chinese takeaway by 8.30pm after a long 360 mile day.

All in all a good trip, riding many roads not previously ridden and the last minute accommodation worked well. Luggage was a pain but doable for a possible WAW trip in September.
Thanks again for the advice folks, without it we wouldn't have done all the different routes.
