fantastic, the people who have contributed so far thanks. Suggestion remember people reading about and possibly searching for certainly myself may not be familiar with town/village names but researching a place by area/region not familiar to themselves so where possible give a reasonably known ref to the patch of the country it is county/ nearest large town/ national park/ even East NW etc. Basically consider what would make it easier for yourselves making a plan in a unknown area, the more details the better for me cost is a priority. thanks all.

How about a similar setup for hotels / hostels / bunkhouses / B & Bs? Or do folks think there's enough of this out there already?

my opinion is, there are plenty of information sites about hotels, perhaps hostels, bunkhouses, budget BB niche stuff may be usefull, I would be a contributer. Myself cost is key so always looking at budget options not sure how much interest what we have already kicked off has though, your call.
