Clermont-Ferrand is well in to the East you may not need go that far but there is some nice scenery there interesting for me were the extinct volcanoes look for Volvic as in the water, if you go near Limoges you may be interested in Oradour Sur Glane Village of the Martyrs.

That’s exactly why I asked about visiting places and places to stay.bikenav wrote: ↑Fri Jan 28, 2022 8:02 pm Clermont-Ferrand is well in to the East you may not need go that far but there is some nice scenery there interesting for me were the extinct volcanoes look for Volvic as in the water, if you go near Limoges you may be interested in Oradour Sur Glane Village of the Martyrs.
This photo from Tuesday was taken only about 10 minutes from Oradour. The main reason I suggested going a bit farther east was to make it easier to go to the east of Paris later on.

The ‘middle’ route via Limoges may be a good compromise. The first stop is Agen. Roads are good - I ride this route often.
