Re: PLEASE SHOW RESPECT
I don't touch em Elmer. Not because they taste bad. They're very nice. But I just can't bring myself to kill off so many little kermits at one go. I have a lovely pond full of them as it happens. it's quite loud at night here at the moment!Elmer J Fudd wrote: ↑Sat May 29, 2021 3:59 pmpardonnez-moi, qu'en est-il des cuisses de grenouilles!daveuprite wrote: ↑Sat May 29, 2021 12:17 pm I'll show you respect, Al, when you stop frying Mars Bars...

Re: PLEASE SHOW RESPECT
That is really bad, Al. Looks like they had a good night though.
Personally I think camping and a good piss-up are perfectly compatible and fun. But even getting pissed up it's perfectly possible to chuck every bottle and can in one bag and anything else in another, as you go along, then sort out the recycling and non-recycling in the morning. There's no excuse to leave the site like that.
Maybe they did clear it all up afterwards, but there's no need to let it get like that in the first place. Any animal could eat/get stuck in that rubbish overnight.
I just don't understand how you would want to visit and enjoy a night in the countryside, with all that entails - fresh air, eating outside, dawn chorus etc etc - and still find it acceptable to trash the site.

Re: PLEASE SHOW RESPECT
Cheap camping gear and a use once mentality, they have probably driven home and just left it all.
Buy some more next time, cheaper than camping fees attitude, like the aftermath at concerts.
Unfortunately their fun is at somebody else's expense.

Re: PLEASE SHOW RESPECT
Exactly what Bill said, it won't be bikers as they don't use cheap throwaway tents like that. There is no repect for anyone or anything from some people nowadays.

That was in July 2020 - almost a year ago, in Kielder, England. Not that it makes it any better.
