Re: Europe 2021
I've given up on Europe this year.
I have had a Sutherland/Caithness weeks tour in early May, it was great. Took in all the best bits of the NC500 and dodged most of the rain.
I,m off to Grantown on Spey for week next week, taking the little 250 this time to make it more interesting.
Got an Airbnb house in Norfolk for the middle of June for a week, think I'll take the 250 again.
Little day trips 100/150 miles, Kings Lynn/Cambridge/Norwich. B roads/old churches/pub lunches whats not to like.
If things are still confused in July/August I'm going to look at mid Wales for 7/10 days, big comfy airbnb house, get a few pals roped in.
Snowdonia to the North, Border Counties to the East, Aberystwyth and the Coast to the West. A few malts in the evening
Every cloud has a silver lining

Re: Europe 2021
Just feel depressed at the thought of not getting away and the little tingle of excitement when queing up at the Chunnel .... had Bosnia and onto Montenegro sorted for end of June and still have a little hope that it might come off.
Bikes been practically packed in the garage for the last 3 months and then unpacked for days out then re-packed!!!!!
If not then I will push it back to Sept ... be gutted if its Skeggy now though!

Re: Europe 2021
Europe will be an option this year, albeit with a bit if extra hassle. The French are saying free PCR tests for tourists there already.
Remember, the UK will be shite. Shite weather, shite traffic, shite costs.
And I remember saying in 2020 "next year we'll go". If the Covid response kicks up to panicking paranoia again next year it'll be "next year" again, meaning you won't have toured since 2019..In 2023..
If it's at all doable (not illegal) I will be going.

Great point , sometimes doing the right thing is more important.Oop North John wrote: ↑Sun May 23, 2021 1:44 pm Just because something isn't illegal, does it still mean that you should do it?
