Britain for me this year,
not because i don't want to tour Europe,
its just too much of a faff despite being double jabbed up
and I'm already here,
Looking forward to finding new adventures,
the suns beating down here in Yorkshire and its the start of summer,
Grand,
dave.

Re: Continental updates please
Not sure where you are staying in the UK.
I received an E mail from the Ballahulish Hotel three weeks before I was due to go, saying that they could not honour my booking from months ago, due to the fact that they were redecorating and wanted to move me to some unheard off hotel.
There was something about that communication that did not rng true, so I cancelled the booking.
On reflection, I suspect that they did not have the staff to run the hotel, due to the fact that all those continentals that usually come over to work in these sort of places are not here.

Yeah, who owns the fish in those nets down at Vienna Harbour?, that's what I wanna know.bill_qaz wrote: ↑Sat Jun 05, 2021 12:19 pmI believe the deal includes Austria's coastal waters as welldaveuprite wrote: ↑Sat Jun 05, 2021 11:16 amAh but since last week UK fisherman now have unlimited access to Liechtenstein's territorial waters....johnnyboxer wrote: ↑Sat Jun 05, 2021 7:35 am Sadly we aren’t EU citizens anymore and therefore I doubt we are eligible to that protocol
Anyway, back to covid updates, here's the current French Gouv. site, as of 21 May, in English. Until the double vaccination travel advice is published, this is still the current guidance, and the figures (apart from vaccination numbers) should be broadly up to date:

Re: Continental updates please
So we now know what's involved, or not involved, for arrivals from the UK to France (from 9th june). Looks good for all those double vaccinated.
But what about returning to the UK? What's the current requirement? I can't get to grips with it. Quarantine with tests?

Re: Continental updates please
The French .Gouv website is still as ambiguous as ever. Although it lays out the traffic light system and talks about the double vaccine rules, the next paragraph is specific about the UK "situation and Indian variant" which continues the compelling reasons to travel.
Maybe this week will see an update relating to travel from the UK after 9th June.
Moto Al, the mess you've shown is not acceptable, but could just as easily have been caused by Scottish travellers as by anyone else........ Unless you know otherwise of course.

Quote "Yeah I know there's a lot of caravan bashing out there, but they really are a good way of taking a cheap holiday in pretty decent conditions. Tracie and I are thinking about a camper-van when our horses are gone and we can travel freely. Looks like you could tour Europe for 5 years, then flog it for a 5 - 10 grand loss and save a fortune compared to hotels. But I'll be wanting one of those racks for a little Beta X-Trainer on the back... "
Dave, I take it you've the benefit of French citizenship then? Us not EU citizens have to make do with the 90 days in 180 for european travel
