I subscribe to 'Catalan News' (because that's the kind of exciting guy I am). Well actually it's because of our annual off-road pilgrimage to the Pyrenees.

This spells out the latest restrictions. Basically, at the moment you can't get in or out...

You can't even move around Catalonia freely, you are basically restriced to county within the province. And they are policing it with random roadblocks, and fines starting at €600. I have crossed the border to see my accountant, to get residency and collect mail, but the new restrictions say those reasons are no longer valid, so i'm stuck in Aragon for a while yet.

This article shows how seriously the Spanish are taking the pandemic - https://murciatoday.com/galicia-introdu ... aZsi0MtRwM

Remember guys, just because Boris says foreign holidays can start again soon, it doesn't mean your chosen destination will be open. I'm aghast at the surge in bookings on this basis.

This site still offers an overview of the current situation in each country, I gues as with the UK even when there is a plan it may change due to new variants etc.

British people are stupid
Booking foreign and/or uk holidays in 2021 is plain stupid
We are another year away from any kind of normality
We buy things we don't need

With money we don't have

To impress people we don't even like

I’ve got India booked for 22/June/2021, Hull - Zeebrugge booked for early September 2021.

That’s exactly the reason for the thread - it’s difficult to get real information from the media so I thought I’d ask people on the ground, as it were.

I suspect it’s just more headline grabbing antics - our ferry booking is simply carried over from last year and will be carried over again if necessary.

You might want to check your ferry crossing.

The Hull —> Rotterdam is actually a better boat and crossing, it doesn’t have to pass through the sea-lock at this end.

My friends son and his pals have chucked their enduro bikes in the back of the van and gone to Northern Spain for two weeks off-roading, with no hassle from anyone.
I’m not saying it’s right or otherwise, just stating a fact.

What is their accommodation? Back of van, tent, self catering, hotel?
