Mini European Tour Anyone?

It's been such a shit year that I've had to do something to keep me sane. Planning a little ride for a couple of weeks in early August, Covid & Brexit allowing.
Will be traveling through France, Switzerland, over the Furka Pass into Italy, Slovenia and onto Budapest. Whilst in Budapest I'll maybe spend a day or two at the Sziget Music Festival, brilliant. If the festival isn't your thing then the city is a great place to explore, and cheap. If anyone is interested in joining me and a couple of others then let me know and I can give you more details. If you don't want to ride in a group, no problem. We can always meet up at the end of the day for a beer and chat.
Nick.

After a couple of suggestions it looks like we will be going over the Furka Pass and the Stelvio Pass as well. By all accounts both are biking heaven.

Stelvio is a bit of a lottery from a timing perspective, if you manage to avoid the traffic it's great but if you're stuck behind a bus that is stuck behind a bunch of cyclists it can be a nightmare especially on the hairpins.

Stelvio is ok, there are better
Furka is better
Some of the less famous passes are in fact better
For instance the Muranza which branches off the Stevio, on the Bormio side & heads back to Switzerland....is a cracker, part gravel and has waterfalls right at the track edge

I recon the trail off top of stevio to CH is Umbrail Johnny (unless it has a dual identity = like stiffjoch
Galvia is a nice pass too but when I visited I tried to accommodate Samaun / Stelvio /Livignio /furka /Albula = make a great big day out

Might be a good idea if one or two of you seasoned Alpine Pass aficionados join us as unpaid guides. The more merrier I reckon.
