Travel this year

Post by Dark Knight »

All planned trips abroad cancelled for this year due to the Coronavirus threat, plenty of places to visit in country.
This threat could destabilise the market and possibly another financial crash.
It will also put more pressure on the holiday companies and maybe cause a "Taco Belle" syndrome.
Anyone got any good news?

Yep, am just up the road from the Algarve, bloody gorgeous here, had a brilliant day out on the bike yesterday. A beer, tosta mista ( croque monsieur) and coffee in a village bar cost me the grand total of € 3.75 :D .

Ffs it's just a version of bad flue, unless your weak and suffer from bad chests nowt to worry about...

The last pandemic from China died out in late European spring, flue in UK is all gone by May at latest... Don't let the scaremongers and doomers put folks off hols abroad..

Your as likely to pick it up in UK down the local pub...

Lifted from elsewhere

This virus is very different to seasonal Flu

It’s appears to very easy to catch and unlike seasonal flu, nobody will have any immunity against it. This means that a much higher % of the population will catch it and in mid Feb it doesn’t look as if the attempts to restrict the spread of the Disease are going to succeed.

The Kill rate of the virus appears to be in the range of 1-2% , this is much higher than seasonal flu which tends to have a kill rate of .002%

Wherever you live in the world health systems will be overwhelmed.
