I thought that (Lynwood Garage) Peugeot and trailer looked familiar .... they, or their successors, recovered me to a tyres place in Aberystwyth when I had a (big) puncture near Aberaeron a couple of years ago. Efficient and friendly.
And I suspect your "pickup point" is at/near the Dol Idris carpark... spent a while there last October when "transport manager" for some friends doing a longish walk in the area. Lovely part of the world.

yes .. a really nice guy from Lynwood Garage … took me all the way home to near Aberdare in south wales .. chatted all the way …………….. the only thing he wouldn't do was ride the bike onto the trailer … I did it, but with heart in mouth, and grateful for my trail riding experience.
just checked google maps .. yes, I was on the a470 heading nervously north just before cross foxes … I eventually had to admit defeat through `overheating` and pulled in at a small layby before crossing the road and waiting in a slightly larger layby across the road.
I miss many aspects of living in Wales. When I moved to the Cardigan area from the Vale of Glamorgan there were too many other things going on for me to do much biking.
Cornwall not so good from the biking aspect, sadly, but mustn't grumble. Having spent 2 nights in a ward full of men who were unlikely to be going anywhere except in a box, every day is a bonus now.
I know the feeling, Richard … I was digging the garden a few years ago, when I had a terrible muscular strain ache in the chest … so thought I best go get it checked out at the hospital, as never felt pain like that before.
They eventually put me on a bed and attached some wires … I was fine, of course.
While waiting I chatted with a few blokes in the ward, who laughed at me when I said it was only a check-up and I would be out in a short while ….. they were obviously going no-where, but they kept giving me that knowing nod.
I couldn't get out of there fast enough when they said I could go …

Cader Idris on the A470 .. the exact spot I broke down on the Blade, the few years before …….. just to prove I could do it .. on a new bike, that is. .. in 2016.
The 954cc 'blade performed wonderfully .. lovely crisp, torquey, easy revving engine .. fantastic brakes and handling …………. but the plodding NC750 was/is easy to ride, and steady and reliable .. and comfortable !!
Just to revive this handy thread here, 2 riders looking to wild camp using both hammocks and tents. This looks like the place to me, Coed y Brenin Forest Park..... Thoughts please from riders that have been here and wild camped..????
