Newcastle to Ijmuiden ferry definitely still runs.

But is that not the freight service that’s quite expensive and you’re unlikely to get on the crossing you booked? I remember looking into that crossing for my trip, but having researched it and reading about others who’d booked crossings but got bumped last minute due to the freight taking priority, I discounted it.

No. It's just the regular ferry. DFDS run it.

No. It's just the regular ferry. DFDS run it.

My mistake, was thinking about the freight ferries direct to Norway, not the Netherlands.

Just for the record if you intended to use the Hull Rotterdam ferry, it does run once a day every day.
