Hi, if its of any help. I rode to Mongolia in 2015. Left London 3rd May, crossed Europe to Ukraine. They wouldn't let me in, so rode north Latvia and Lith. Crossed into Russia, south'ish to Kursk and Stalingrad. Crossed in to Kazakhstan and followed to coast across the Desert.
Terrible roads, I had a few offs in the sinking sand. You don't need a visa now Im told. Lots of Police Check points, no drama.
