Short season in 2016

2016 was a pretty good year for me:

I was snowboarding early on but finally got my DR650 running sweet (with help from Zen overland and Alpha Motorcycles. Fully farkled and ready for adventure. Here she is on the maiden voyage.

A decent run in was needed so a four day trip round the Catles of Wales was called for. It was so frikken good.

With the HISS approaching I thought it was time to get used to her off road. Didn't go well.

After a being dragged out by a 4x4 on her side and many hours digging the mud out it was off to Spain. What a place. I didn;t take many photos as I was goproing all the way. But this is me at my happiest. Bike, Tent, beer.

Back from there and with the referendum the next day I took my reglected 350 out to get lost in new trails and some therapy.

After that came the family cmping trips of the summer and it wasn;t till september that I got to do the whole of the Scottish castle trip. It was the highlight of the year.

I think my crap biking 2016 actually began in autumn 2015 ...



... actually being rescued not booked. Then ...



... just pencil in a ubiquitous white van where it could have spelt 'The End' and that was just about my biking year ...

Roll on 2017, Spring in Aragon. Summer in Montenegro and Autumn in Morocco ... (thumbs)
