If you don't mind being a few miles out of town but want plenty of scope for green laning then this place is by far the best.

Top pub with good food, good beer and you can camp there.

I'll second that, though I've not camped there myself, it's certainly popular and I've heard good things about it. (thumbs)

The Bull in t'Thorn is definitely good and I've camped there loads of times. The other option is The Royal Oak at Hurdlow. Better on site facilities and the food in the pub is better.

Like both the ones mentioned, camped at both, the royal is best for facilities, and the food is fantastic, but the bull is the better drinking pub, and a better atmosphere, bit spooky though :woohoo:
by the way the royal oak has a bunkhouse which is good value at £15.00.stayed there last week . recommend the mixed gril :)

Missus gives a +1 for the food at the Royal Oak. Never realised they did camping!

I did try and book camping for a dozen of us but they were not keen on such a big group of blokes. Camped at the Bull in t' Thorn instead and used both pubs for beer and food.
