Bike rental options in Norway

I haven’t searched the web but renting a BMW i Germany might be easier. Then ride up through Denmark, ferry to Norway, game on.

Look into renting a bike from BMW in the north of Germany. You might have to add a few days to your holiday but it would probably work out easier and cheaper.

I've often wondered if some web wizard could offer an international motorcycle exchange...go to county A and ride someone's bike in exchange for that person going to country B to ride someone else's bike.
I should think a few people in Norway/Sweden might want to ride in North America.

Us lot on the K bikes do this.

Insurance is an issue unfortunately BUT....

tourinsure.de offer options for riding in eu that are good for our Canadian friends. Its especially good for those coming from outside eu.

At over €3,000 per bike to hire its got to be a solution, or else buy bikes here and sell on.

BUT there is also a cheaper option from Canada [NOT US] to fly bikes over unless Covid has killed it.

I think its a bit like Canada, my brother lives near Toronto with a couple of BMWs in the garage but do you think he could organise insurance for me from the UK to ride one on a tour there, no chance. I tried for a few years to organise something.Maybe try a post on Horizons Unlimited, I tried there about 10 years ago to see if they could suggest something but that drew a blank.
Ii think some countries just don't want the hassle of a foreigner having a major accident.
I know this isn't much help but i feel speaking as a V Strom owner if that option was still available i'd go with that, maybe go for the 650 as you don,t need any more power with the low speed limits. Good luck

A shame it's not India the OP is visiting, bike rental is simple for foreigners. So simple, in fact, that the renter doesn't want any of the rentee's details or even a deposit! At least that was my experience not so long ago, albeit the downside (or upside depending on your view) is that it involved a Himalayan rather than a GS.
