Loving this thread. Very thoughtful and mature - and a welcome change from all the E10 bollocks.

Three lovely places in Cornwall have the attractive names of Draynes, Looe and Flushing. Then there’s Spit beach near Par.

Don't go forgetting Brown Willy, I've been searching without luck for a picture of us riding over Brown Willy whilst marshalling a horse event.Cornishman wrote: ↑Mon Oct 18, 2021 12:48 pm Three lovely places in Cornwall have the attractive names of Draynes, Looe and Flushing. Re: Anyone we know?
The RAF pilots were so scared of Brown Willy that they had to close Davidstow airfield. It became an F1 track, then a cheese factory.
Such is life in Cornwall.

I've done a couple of car rallies and sprints at Davidstow in the past, the last time we did it we used some F2/F3 wet tyres that came off of Pedro Diniz's car that had been left in the skip after a Silverstone test day.Richard Simpson Mark II wrote: ↑Tue Oct 19, 2021 11:25 am The RAF pilots were so scared of Brown Willy that they had to close Davidstow airfield. Re: Anyone we know?
Good thread. Near me is the hamlet of Shatterling, which gives Shittenden a run for its money. Slightly further afield, in Margate, there's Poorhole Lane.... no prizes for guessing which letter is more or less permanently 'tippexed' out.
