Re: roadbook creator, which one?
I use the Don barrow Tulip book creator it's basically a spreadsheet with all of the symbols you need, I found Rally Navigator site put too many waypoints in and I never got my head around the printing. I think I paid about £22 for the Don Barrow setup, lifetime usage.

I've tried a few of the digital ones but reverted to old school pen and paper as it's what I know, you're also not tied to one system then and can mix and match, anyone for a plot and bash herringbone rally?

Harvey, Don Barrow a name I am familiar with, but his looks a bit competition based and critically with no digital (mobile phone) plateform which would be the way forward I think, common useage, no paper agro, etc. Agreed Snaf just scribbling it down on paper probably would be quicker initially. Being able to do it from home (lockdown), easily enable other users (phones), the fully inclusive creator and GPS tripmeter/reader Rally Navigator type looks more what I was thinking. Herring Bones, here in Wales the MK2 escort navigators quiver in their sparco boots at the thought! Me included. Thanks for the info.

Re: roadbook creator, which one?
I’ve found Rally Navigator to be good in the past.
You only need to put in a waypoint at a junction. The you draw the direction tulip to suit.
Make sure you know if you are using miles or KM’s. I found that out the hard way when one of the road books that I’d made for the Pyrenees was totally unusable.

Fair enough - yeah the spreadsheet is only really any use for paper roll production. Maybe with a subscription to the other web site it becomes more clear on doing stuff with the app.bikenav wrote: ↑Tue Jan 26, 2021 12:23 pm Harvey, Don Barrow a name I am familiar with, but his looks a bit competition based and critically with no digital (mobile phone) plateform which would be the way forward I think, common useage, no paper agro, etc. Agreed Snaf just scribbling it down on paper probably would be quicker initially. I've just watched that Nomad video and colour me impressed - I was using Rally Navigator all wrong, it's way better than I'd thought and seeing the app with a remote control for scrolling looks awesome.
