Does Steve hold a world record?

Post by Dark Knight »

I think that my mate Steve must hold a world record.
In the 1970s he bought a GL1000 Gold Wing from a guy in Falkirk, Scotland and used it to move house with his wife from Livingston, Scotland to Milton Keys.
They lived out of the bike for two months until he got the accomodation sorted.

He already had the Gold Wing and who needs a van if you have a Gold Wing.
The Falkirk guy had the Gold Wing for 10 months and the farest he had travelled was Edinburgh, of course not having a licence would have been a problem.

Well I just broke the world record for 54-year old men living in south-west France drinking 2 gin and tonics, following a portion of fish pie and broccoli, with 8 letters in their surname, whilst reading a Ben Elton novel in mid-October.

Where's my prize?

so how did they sleep at night? .. on the bike under a tarp?

I had to move several times whilst looking after my dementia mother .. on my own with no help .. it cost me a fortune, (and i nearly died from physical and mental exhaustion, while still caring for her 24/7), but i had my (then) van to lug all the stuff (from 2 households) .. settee, chairs, table, beds, clothes, tools, bikes, bicycles, washing machine, dryer, freezer, fridges, microwaves, carpets, curtains, food, and of course my large porno collection ..... so ... I don't get it ... on a big bike??????? :o
