the trip started off on a LOW (region) but once the augmented reality kicked in, with the help of the gay abandon of the mickey mouse timepiece, real reality became the norm and you could breath the pure air of the HIGH places.

You know the way some things age well and some don’t?

I saw Easy Rider when I was about fifteen and it was amazing! Motorbikes, sex, drugs, music, fighting authority. It was perfect for a fifteen year old with a bit of a sneer developing.

I tried to watch it a couple of years ago and it was awful. Just awful. You could still cut some nice bits out now, like the bikes tooling along to ‘Get your motor running’, but the ‘groovy’ guys tripping out? Fuck no!

I can’t think right now of a seventies film that has aged well.

Good list. Brian should be at the top, of course. And Holy Grail needs a place. Plus 'The Sleeper'. 'Love and Death' and 'Annie Hall' by Woody Allen. Then there's 'The Godfather' ( I and II ). And 'The Deerhunter', 'Apocalypse Now', 'The French Connection', 'All the President's Men'.....

It was a really good film of its time and this just arrived in the post to put up in my shed.
