ABR and Bridgestone Bridges of Britain Route 3 - Barton upon Humber to Stirling

Post by Bryn »

Route three is the third and final instalment of our Bridges of Britain series, in which we teamed up with Bridgestone to mark the launch of the excellent Battlax Adventure A41 tyres. Fortunately, this final route is an absolute peach, taking is from Barton-upon-Humber all the way up to Stirling, Scotland. Along the way we'll see some of the most impressive bridges in the UK, and the variety of riding is spot on for a two-day tour. There's fast flowing A roads, hidden country lanes, curvy mountain roads, a 12-mile gravel forest trail and even a tidal causeway.

The route in its entirety will take you two days, unless you like to put yourself through miserable tests of endurance, and it'll be just as good, if not better, in the autumn and winter months when the roads are quieter.

We've plotted the route out so that you can download it, stick it in your SatNav and ride it. Simply right click on the attachments below called 'Bridgestone Bridges Route 3 Day 1.gpx' and 'Bridgestone Bridges Route 3 Day 2.gpx' and choose 'Save Link As', once you've saved it to your computer load it into your SatNav as per the manufacturer's instructions and get riding!
