ABR TomTom Amazing Britain route (issue 56)

Post by JamesABR »

Hi all

The new TomTom Amazing Britain route from the Jan/Feb issue of ABR magazine is now available as a gpx.file to download. The Amazing Britain series replaces the old Discovery routes in the mag. The format is similar. We'll still be featuring brilliant roads and stunning scenery, but with the added ingredient of visiting fascinating, quirky, historic, or downright ridiculous places along the way.

We started the series with a ride through ABR's backyard in the Cotswolds and the North Wessex Downs, starting at Shakespeare's birthplace in Stratford-upon-Avon and finishing in the city of Bath, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Along the way we visited a battlefield, the Venice of the Cotswolds, and even where St George is supposed to have slayed the dragon.

It's the type of ride that's perfect if you've got a day to spare this winter and fancy blowing away the cobwebs.
