A few of us Northern Ireland ABRs headed out today for a ride out, taking advantage of the dry weather.
Moors, Gubbo from the ABR parish another mate and myself met up this morning and headed north. Weather was excellent for biking.
Cross country unto the famous Antrim Coast Road. Unfortunately it seemed to be a mecca for the tourists with their numerous coaches and also lots of cyclists also taking advantage of the weather.
Stopped off at Carnlough Harbour for the first coffee stop of the day
Continued on along the Coast Road, then up over Torr Head. Very clear today and you could see for miles. Moorso then took us to the site of a old church.
Then up into Ballycastle for lunch. Loads of other bikes parked up and riding around.
Came back through Glenarrif Forest towards Ballymena, then into Antrim, and back home.
Around 160miles. (thumbs)

Re: N.I Ride Out Today
Thanks for that Heff, but no more photos please, because it makes me green with envy! I'm already looking forward to the next Ireland ABR rally! May not be able to wait that long though.

Thank you!! (thumbs)
It was perfect...The Torr Head Road was epic!! Probably the first time I've been on it on such a clear day....didn't realise the road is laid quite so invitingly on the side of the hills before you!

Thanks Moorso, nice pics and video. I've ridden that Antrim coast road a couple of times now, and that few minutes of video bought it all back. Tis' indeed stunning, and a bit of sunshine makes it brilliant.

Re: N.I Ride Out Today
May be my luck but have done that route and Torr Head in clear blue skies and sunshine and it is so so worth it, along with the obligatory ice cream stop at Ballycastle.
For those who want to come travel Ireland, while you were enjoying that ride out in sunshine we were having one at the other end of the country in rain and drizzle that eventually morphed into dry but cloudy for a nice run home.
Equally, if you come over and discover some part is going to be in sunshine, don't have rigid plans. Instead, like Heff and Moorso have shown, go to the sunshine and you will find its just as nice and exactly as those photos show. Even better, if you don't want to go too far, you could spend a week up in the Mournes.
