Ardhowen Theatre, Enniskillen. Co Fermanagh. A tucked away car park wih nice views over Lough Erne, picnic tables and nicely sheltered. New jettys which look good for a spot of fishing.

Located just outside Enniskillen off the main. Dublin/Belfast Rd. The Ardhowen Theatre is signposted both directions.

Cheers Bob - Trout season over now, so hopefully a bit of Pike fishing throughout the winter. Found a couple of new spots on that last outing to Co Fermanagh last Saturday, had no time to fish as I was doing a recce for the ABR Ireland Rally next May - you should get yourself over on your new T700 8-)

Well it's funny you should say that, if brexit fecks everything up for France next year my fallback plan will be a Ireland/Scotland tour.

Another Co Fermanagh spot visited yesterday.

Rossigh Bay. On the shore of Lower Lough Erne. Well served with large parking area and plenty of picnic tables. Also has a firepit/BBQ area and toilets. Jettys also here for a spot of fishing.

Located off the main Enniskillen to Kesh road, on the left heading towards Kesh approximitly one mile after Killadeas

Another great wee spot I discovered yesterday. Located just outside Waterfoot village on the Antrim coast road. At the end of the village (heading North) turn right, continuing on the coast road, and it is on the right, overlooking where the river enters the sea.. A nice little grassy area where you can ride your bike into, park up and admire the views.

And the classic Torr Road waits for after your break

Another Co Antrim location visited recently. Portmuck Harbour, Island Magee. A lovely wee spot located at the end Portmuck Road. Large carpark here - with plenty of picnic tables. Also public toilets. Because it is not that far from Belfast, it probably gets quite busy here, however an early morning visit will find the place nice and quiet. Nice wee beach and great views.

Directions from Carrickfergus, follow the main A2 towards Larne, after the right turn for Whitehead (another nice wee stop) take the next road on the right (roughly another half mile along, this takes you onto Island Magee. Follow to the roundabout and continue straight across, follow to the end and take a left turn onto the Middle Road, follow to the end where it becomes the Mullabouy Road, then continues onto the Portmuck Road

Greetings Flintlock,

If you are passing by Whitehead might there be any chance please of your taking a photo of 55 Cable Road, plus one down by the swimming baths if they are still there?

I spent many happy holidays there as a child with my father's family. Sadly there is nobody any longer there but happy thoughts are :D

TTFN

Hugh.
