Coastal Run Yesterday.....and the Go Pro!

Post by Moorso »

Took the opportunity yesterday to get a run out with a mate down Strangford and grabbed a bite at The Cuan before cutting through Castle Ward. Used the Go Pro too..... At 4:09 is where we turned off the main road to the Audleystown Road....an interesting little 'road' that brings you to the back entrance to Castle Ward (which you'll see at the end of the video). Have to say, the weather cleared up nicely during the afternoon, so much so that with the fire lit in The Cuan, we began to sweat. Will be writing a ride report on my blog (hopefully) today.

Thanks (thumbs) ....I ended up having to mount the camera on the left mirror mount, as the brake master cylinder was hogging the room on the right handlebar, and the wiring and other gubbins made little room on the left, but am pleased with the results!

Working on the other vid at the moment where we cut through the grounds of Castle Ward (even though you're not supposed to  )....but I've done it a few times and they tend to turn a blind eye to bikes.....might contact them to see if it's okay if we maybe do it at the ABR Ireland Rally in May!

:cheer: Thanks Jackdaw...it took me a while to get the right mounting point, but once I did, I used my phone as the view finder to set up the horizon, I had wanted to catch a bit of the bike in the side of shot, but the majority to be the road. Once I screwed the fastenings into place, the thing didn't budge! Well chuffed.

Am editing the next video now (loving my week off work!!).

There were some hairy moments....tractors had pulled all sorts of crud onto the road, more than once the back end stepped out alarmingly, but all was well. Although a stone got caught in the rear hugger and scoured my rear tyre a bit which I'm not happy about!!

Well done, thanx for sharing. The roads didn't look the best but the vid was good, never been down that direction on the bike, must make a point... (thumbs)
