Which motorcycle make/model does this relate to?

If your bike (when new) was fitted with indicators then I'm pretty sure by law it needs indicators fitted and working properly for an M.O.T. in N-Ireland.

I lived in N-Ireland for 50yrs.

Kyle if your bike has an indicator switch it must have indicators ,i have seen people remove the button and tape up over it with black tape .if you can remove the button and cover it there will be no issue at the MOT center .

Kyle
Got my car tested today and asked the examiner about your query.

Basically if indicators are fitted they must work. If the switchgear and indicators are removed then hand signals are required.

Hope that helps

no. indicators are not required if not fitted, my exc passed recently, the switch is still on the bars.

the beam pattern on dip is checked tho as well as the horn and chain tightness. i dont think i had even mirrors, though i fitted a left one for spain.
