Ride to the Hills - 5-10-13

Post by Steve T »

Tomorrow I tink I'll wander over the Pass of the Cattle, going via Loch Ness, Invermorriston, A87, Strathcarron & Lochcarron.

Return route to be decided.

Here's hoping the weather Gods are with me

Sorry mate, I'm covering on call for Gleaner oil & gas Ltd. I'm off Sunday and Fiona's working so might manage a few miles on Sunday?
Most of us are tripped out following Ullapool from last weekend! ;)

I'm not, just covering for my Inverness engineers on call. See you soon mate.

Followed the route I mention in the first post and only took a few photos . . .
Obligatory stop next to nice little castle . . . .

Same castle from different view point . . . .

Another obligatory shot - note ABR sticker  ;)

Then up the hill . . . . picture taken at cloudbase. Didn't go any higher - I've ridden this road with near zero vis and it's fecking scary :S

290 miles on latest set of wheels in varying weather and changing road conditions. Never had anything with this riding position before and whilst the power / ride is fantastic, the riding position will either become a non starter or I'll grow to endure it - spent too long riding large traillies methinks ;)

You just need to get your bum off the seat, drop your elbows to the tank, tuck in behind the screen, get your knee down and you'll be fine

1 week, 3500 miles doing a lap of Spain and two full runs along the Pyrenees from Bilbau to Andorra and back on an SP1 and no aches
