Si...you have my GPX file so on Friday i'll follow you on the route to see if the file works and you can follow it.

Yesterday Slideways and Sannerfingers had a great time finding some of the more techncial parts. I was riding the main trail while they were on the old peri track next to me. If only i had a camera to capture wathching the both go from getting some ait over jumps to down into a deep puddle straight away...over and over again..they both had big grins on their faces. All the time i was on a nice easy trail alongside them taking it easy.

They both confirmed that the entire route is OK for anybike on Tourance type tyres which was good for me to see.

Well...the current forecast is for rain showers until Thursday PM and then dry on Friday..so it's looking good so far.

But rain or shine i'll be there.

Mike what is the way back from Westbury? Is there an off road route?
There looks like a big long byway just off the B390 just after Chitterne heading southwards down to Stapleford.

Yes...the first few miles is the same route but in reverse..but once on the lark hill ranges it heads off into the impact areas and into some nice places.

I will show you on Friday....you will enjoy.

Just having a look at the os map there is a route down from Tilshead that cuts across the b390 and joins up with the long one that goes down to Yarnbury castle on the Berwick downs and then goes down towards Stapleford. Looks all very cool around there, roll on Friday, what are the fords like now we have had a bit of rain?

The ford we are going to use is not that high but has a loose deep gravel bed. For those like me who don't want to fall off in a river there is a small bridge to the side.
