I have a mate who lives in Goathland,his birthday falls round about then.We went up to visit a couple of years ago on Railway at war weekend and the place was rammed,not just Goathland but all along the line from Pickering to Grosmont.Be prepared for it being busy.Elle wrote:and finally.......
12-14th October, is the "The Railway in Wartime Weekend" - a WW2 War celebration active in several villages including Goathland. Be prepared for an increase in tourists, traffic and folk dressed up in WW2 costume. It will probably add to the fun of being in Goathland but it may also mean the whole area is swamped and the campsite could be fairly busy!
