Re: TomTom Rider 400 - Any good?

Thanks Alphadog, Actually I had similar problems with my previous Rider 2 - the plastic mount kept cracking after a couple of months/maybe a year - resulting in quite an expensive replacement for basically a mount with a power supply incorporated in it. It does seem that TomTom's after sales support...

Re: TomTom Rider 400 - Any good?

Thanks bigfoot, I did have a look at the 390LM - its my second choice at the moment, since I'm not too sure how old it is and if its going to be replaced. I also looked at the 590LM - it looks very nice, but it is just massive. The TomTom looked like it was a nice in-between size with similar featur...

Re: F800GS to a 1200GS

Just a quick question, how well does the standard r1200GS windscreen work vs the standard r1200gsa? Or is there another screen that is better? Just asking, since I wasn't too convinced with the one on the F800GS (either the standard or the touring, although it was better.) When I test-road the F800G...

TomTom Rider 400 - Any good?

Hi, I'm looking at a new bike satnav, especially with Christmas coming ;) I have had a TomTom Rider 2 for years and it was pretty good and reliable. I saw the new Rider 400 and was wondering how it is - good and bad? Any issues with it or the software? How reliable is it? (asking, since I just had l...

Re: RWC 2015, it's all go !!!

After all the stick I received, I finally watched the highlights and what a game Japan and SA had. Has really made the pool interesting and I suspect worried Scotland. It would be great if Aus and NZ also gets a shock like that. Could make the whole World Cup interesting.

Re: Bike Insurance

A friend recommended Mirascon. The quote they gave was pretty good. 14€ per month for my F800GS for 3rd party fire and theft.

Re: RWC 2015, only 1 day to go

Yip, it's a tough pool with Wales and Aus. Need to improve, but thought Fiji gave a good show.

Tonight the Bokke, looking forward to see how they do. Hope they are all sorted.

Re: F800GS to a 1200GS

I'm going through a similar process and picking up a R1200GS in a couple of weeks. Main reason I changed from the 800 was that I also realised I rode more on roads and the 1200 felt smoother at high speed. I was also lucky with a good offer from BMW. The 800 was however a great bike that I thoroughl...

Re: Bike Insurance

Thanks,
Had a look at them and they were quoting a bit steep.

Bike Insurance

Hi,

I'm stationed with the British Army in Germany and looking for temporary insurance for my bike that will be accepted by the BFG system. Does anyone have any recommendations or advice?
