Re: Is Nuclear War inevitable ?
The idea is that Ukraine is a disposable buffer between Nato and Russia.

Re: chinese are coming
I have a Suzuki DL250, which is made in China. The fit and finish is miles above the RE 650 I had. I can't find fault with it.

Re: Getting up to Scotland
You don't want a slog up there and definitely don't want a slog coming back especially if it is raining. I would look at a long drive up with 2 bikes on a trailer and get accommodation that will let you leave the car+trailer in their car park as you will also be staying there on the way back. Then ...

Re: Getting up to Scotland
Admittedly I was on a 1215cc Explorer, but left the Cotswolds at 5am, met my pal on the shores of Loch Lomond at midday for a long weekend cherry picking the NC500. Had a great time, but the slog up the M5/M6/M74 isn’t one to be repeated too often, but worth it I guess. The Pyrenees might be nearer...

Re: Getting up to Scotland
In the good/bad old days of British Rail, you could stick a motorbike in the baggage container on an InterCity 125. I think it travelled for 1/2 your ticket price (passenger trains carried express parcels for Red Star then). I got a crashed motorcycle from Sheffield to Dorset that way once. You had...

Re: Getting up to Scotland
I’ve ridden up from Bristol about three times now on 125s. I know I’m already a fair bit up from you but I head up through the borders of Wales, A49 and then a sneaky whizz through Warrington (which is the boring bit) then up to the lakes and an overnight in Keswick, then up from there. You can alw...

Getting up to Scotland
My young 'un wants to tour Scotland next year, with me riding along. As he is on a 125, it'll take a while to get up there from Devon. I was wondering if anyone has any good ideas on how to get a pair of 125s up to Scotland quickly and hopefully cheaply!
