You are coming of the Motorway to do the Rhine valley? If you have the time you might also want to have a look at Bamberg which is not far away from Rothenburg.Brilliant city ,very good beer and food.

Cheers Marc, thanks for the info. I'd planned on doing most of what you have listed, just wasn't sure if I'd get away with cleaning the rollers of surface rust.
