Re: Tax on electric bikes

As usual there is a complete lack of joined up thinking. The climate crisis is the biggest problem facing mankind, this country included. The knock on effects it terms of impact on food production, migration etc are going to be horrendous. Electric vehicles may not be the solution but there are prob...

Re: Petrol in France

Looking at my receipts I think I did get some kind of discount. Not as much as you I think they are scaling it down. I am glad I came on my Meteor rather than my Cali. 90 mpg as opposed to 50.

Re: Petrol in France

I made it across France no problem, Total definitely the cheapest in some cases by 40 cents a litre. Not had the bar code thing in Spain yet, why were they found it?

Re: Petrol in France

Thanks everyone. Now in Spain. Had no problems,a few garages were out of derv. Mobile is substantially cheaper, I paid 1:46 once, I saw over 1:90 a couple of times. I’ll see what it is like in Spain tomorrow.

Re: Petrol in France

Thanks, I am not sure of my route yet. I tend to make it up as I go along a bit. I am leaving Cherbourg Friday morning and heading roughly for Pau. I generally avoid motorways and often fill up at Supermarkets where I can.

Petrol in France

Hi, I read toady about the various fuel strikes in France this week. Does anyone know how this is affecting the availability of petrol? I am landing in Cherbourg Friday morning and heading down the west side of France towards Spain, I have about a 300 mile range but have about 560 miles to go, am I ...

Some of the other versions on YouTube have better quality sound but this has the English subtitles.

Re: Tyre price increase alert

To add to the problems of global price rises and lack of supply, most of the UK tyre dealers get their stocks from the EU so we have to pay the additional Brexit surcharge.

Re: Don't bother going to Wales again

The way I heard it is that bringing this legislation in means that any local authority will be able to change a limit from 30 to 20 without going through the planning rigmarole. Now if this is used in a sensible way, eg 20 mph limits outside schools at peak times then that will be a good thing. If i...

Vinyl wrapping.

Hi, I have a set of fibreglass Craven panniers on which the original paint is chipped and cracking. They are also the wrong colour. Rather than paint them I am thinking of vinyl wrapping them. Has anyone on here done something similar. If so much much wrap do you need, do you need any special tools e...
