Re: Van - a big accessory!
I've had a T5 Kombi for a year now....love it. Wish I'd have bought one sooner. Two bikes in the back easy with a bit of seat jigging. Perfect. I did consider a new Transit or Renault.....much cheaper to buy, but after 5 years, depreciation was horrendous. The VW will have lost very little. image_20...

I met Bill Sparks a few years back. Top bloke. A proper Bootneck. He told proper old school war stories....brilliant.

I agree, but the bloke is about as useful as a bacon slicer in a synagogue. It's all we've got too watch, so I watch it.Watty2016 wrote:Fair point I love bikes regardless who is talking over them.

Re: French Alps
Ian, not sure about the snow, but I have the "Route De Grande Alps" on a .GPX file if you want it.
It's a superb route from near Lake Geneva down to Menton.
Well worth doing.

Nice, but I'm going to blow my own trumpet here, and say I prefer mine. XR650L. With Kickstart, plus loads of other mods.

Lockable helmet bag??
I've just bought an open face lid.
Hence no chin bar to put a chain through.
Anyone know of a secure helmet bag so I can leave the lid on the bike?

Re: Recommend me a compact tent
I have an MSR Hubba Hubba coming up for grabs this week when my new tent arrives. Ultra lightweight, single pole, in great condition. I'm looking for £120 https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=hubba+hubba+nx&tag=googhydr-21&index=aps&hvadid=38741164346&hvpos=1t1&hvexid...
