Re: Insurance went from £130 to £400!
I had a few good years with Ramasis (Wicked Quotes), actually one of the few companies I've renewed with as they found me cheaper, better cover. But they seem to have lost the plot recently. I think ultimately you'll just have to shop around Thumper. It's my experience that there seems to be no corr...

Not sure what deals you've seen but that doesn't look right for the 250L. Perhaps they've made a typo.
Kestrel are doing it for 0% and its only £133.33 per month.

Re: Africa Twin for £25/ month - surely this is the WORST finance proposal ever imagined!?!
I also don't think it's a particularly bad deal for some people - plenty of people don't do 4k miles a year. It doesn't suit me however as I do about 9k I think the thing is not to look at the balloon payment as something you'll need to find, as most people will chop it in for a fresh one. That said...

There usually is around a £5-6000 balloon payment at the end or just enough (roughly £2000) in the bike to use as a deposit for the next one! if you stick with the same manufacturer. No need to stick with the same manufacturer as far as I'm aware, though I'm sure they'd like you to think there was.

Re: Is PCP........... the next debt crisis???
BUT....anyone buying new will take a massive depreciation hit, however they finance it. So the cheapest way to run a newish car for 3 years is buy 2 years old and change at 5 years old. Case in point... 64 plate Evoque 10,000 miles £22500 http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/20170301279383...

Re: Is PCP........... the next debt crisis???
So what would you do if you where considering another car/bike and actually had money spare in the bank? ie: £30-40K. Would you PCP, buy new for cash, buy nearly new (cash or finance), buy new on finance, or other? If I had that money aside, and didn't need it for anything else, then I would probab...

Re: Is PCP........... the next debt crisis???
A bit surprising that the Guardian use Lings as a reference for PCP, she only does leases - shoddy journalism. I personally don't think PCP is a potential problem for the financiers, if they make any less money than expected then the cost of the next PCPs will go up. I do think it has the potential ...

Re: Numb thumb
I had a similar problem and went to the Doc expecting a carpal tunnel syndrome diagnosis - got referred to a physio and he dismissed Carpal Tunnel and said it was something to do with my Ulnar nerve being affected by my neck - gave me some neck exercises and it improved a lot. It still comes back no...
