We crossed that bridge in the opposite direction when we did RB10. On the run up from the station at Santa Maria was a steep rocky shaley climb and as it rounded the corner hey presto, the short bridge.

John, you could bag all 8 of the tarmac ones and many of the lakes in 1 day. 3 is only a hours ride

That would make a good 2nd stop after doing the Lakes passes. I went round the back of Coniston on the way to the ferry. I will remember next time to go through Coniston. Cheers Bob
