This used to be mine, but it grew to be too painful to ride more than about 30 miles.
It was lovely while it lasted though

Re: Ktm 390 adv anyone had a go one one?
Cheers everyone I'll have a look at the xt660z an the cb500x :) Been having a bit of a nosey at higher miles s10's as well, shall see where I'm at funds wise when the rd250c sells. Whatever you get, enjoy it. And the best advice of all? Never take advice from people you don't know on the internet :...

Re: Ktm 390 adv anyone had a go one one?
Hondas aren’t perfect. On a Wiltshire trip one of our group was on a CRF 250 adv (?) .... an innocuous drop in a shallow rut shifted the gear lever shaft over enough to jam it in 1st. Mind you, my earlier argument with a rut and adjacent bank had bent the handlebar bolt on my 690 enduro back far en...

Re: Ktm 390 adv anyone had a go one one?
Honda CB500X and a chat with Rally raid if you want the coffee stop cred of spoked wheels and improved suspension or just a set of Heidenau K60s if you're not that bothered and want to ride forest tracks. Decent performance, decent economy, decent tank range. And it's a Honda, so it won't ever throw...

Re: A wee bit further north . . .
Nice ride and great photos. Bit far for a day out from down here sadly (I live near Dartmouth in Devon) hopefully there will be some time next year when I can make it. Those photos will give me some inspiration in the meantime. Thanks

Thanks again Dave, I'll do something about that. It still has the originals, one of which looks like it's never been used

Re: Go Big and Ride Small
Brilliant little bikes. I used one as a run around briefly back in the early 2000s. Enough go for varied road riding (~90bhp) and handles OK. You get nice R6/R1 blue-spot calipers too - proper brakes. Reliable and easy to service (Thundercat-based). Still looks good today I reckon. One of the best ...

Re: Go Big and Ride Small
My CRF 250 Rally is off today, to someone on here as it happens. It's a shame to see it sitting doing nothing while I'm not able to get out for more that a days ride and I'm glad it's going to someone who'll use it for a proper trip. Any ho, I thought I get something else for some fun day rides out....

Re: The Dolomites, four men, six countries one small bike
Great ride report and inspirational, thats some serious milage on a Rally :) To be honest it runs better that it did when I got it at six months old (I know I would say that, I've just sold it 😁) and feels like it'll go on and on for a considerable time. It was a fantastic trip and the only thing t...
