Re: Ecky Thump Rally 12th - 14th Oct 2018
Back home now, nasty wet grimy ride home. 175 miles in 3hrs 30mins so reasonable time for conditions. Glad I was on the Pan with its big fairing. Hope everyone got home ok without any probs.
Thanks to Mario for organising. Nice to see some of the usual faces and a few new ones.

Re: V-strom
Hiya Lisa and welcome! Nice bike and piccy. I really need to test ride a vstrom 650 soon. They do seem to have a strong fan base and seem to do everything well, without costing an arm and a leg.

Top job Ade G especially, but also to others who do this sort of thing. I Don’t recognise all the places, but some I do for sure. I haven’t looked through all the pics, but surely Ypres will be on here?

Some brilliant photos here, thanks everyone!
It’s gonna take a while to view em all but so much better than most of the rubbish on TV. I must sort my photos out and post a few too!

Re: Just signed up....
Hiya Cloggsy, Have a browse and enjoy the forum, some really useful stuff gets posted. V Strom is on my list to test ride, will test the 650 and 1000, hopefully I’ll prefer the 650 as it’s cheaper and lighter. The 1000 though, does have better brakes and suspension. Get yourself on a ABR rally, Ecky...

Re: Wood gives me wood
Blimey, some serious wood stores going on there! I’m a mere novice obviously, with only about 4 cubic metres of wood cut and split and stashed. After buying a chainsaw, PPE and rest of the gear, I reckon it will take 2 years to get my money back compared to buying the wood. Managed to get some nice ...

Have a look at the Lomo stuff. Lots of people on forum rate them, well priced too.

Re: Looking a tent can keep in top case
Nice idea Sefa to get all your gear into top box and panniers, but I reckon you will struggle for 2 people. Tent, sleeping bags, mats, plus clothes and any cooking gear you may need. Hope you succeed!
