There are many downsides to having just a part-time job but there are also advantages, today I took advantage of not working today and went out for a ride in the snow. The worst part was getting out of Bristol as there was carnage of nearly every hill but eventually I got out to the good roads.........

Horses for courses. For me the most important thing is grip, that's why I wear trials boots with a grippy sole but I fully understand why others vote for protection first. Whatever boots you buy make sure you get a good pair of ex-army sealskins as that's what will keep your feet dry, not the boots.
