Re: Middleweight twin adventure bike

If Honda had had the good sense at the time to put a shaft on the Transalp I doubt many would have looked beyond it, and its upgrades would probably dominate the adventure/RTW market today. The shaft on the Dakar 750 was fragile in competition so all they had to do was a bit of detuning of the engin...

Re: Multistrada 950 Touring - the first 1000 miles

You should have posted a warning at the start of your write-up. Just when I'm all happy and contented with my bike, you've got me thinking.....hmmm, Ducati? The 1200 multistrada is a bit too much bike for me. Too much money, too much power, too complex and I'm of the opinion that a 800 -1000cc road...

Re: Multistrada 950 Touring - the first 1000 miles

Ducati Shipley (not Leeds  ) is a long way to travel to buy a bike when you live in Stirling - I guess there'll be somewhere more local for servicing? Ducati Glasgow but sadly the sales team were a real switch off. I like to do business with someone who appreciates my custom rather than perc...

Re: Multistrada 950 Touring - the first 1000 miles

Thanks for the very timely write-up. I have been considering the same bike and have taken it out on a test ride with my son on the 1200 for a comparison. Ducati Manchester are also very accommodating and easy to deal with. Couple of questions.... Where did you go for your insurance? Carol Nash and ...

Multistrada 950 Touring - the first 1000 miles

Picked the bike up from Ducati Leeds (great service from all staff) on Friday 3rd March and did over 1000 miles in the first week - says it all really. What a peach of a bike. The plan was to pick the bike up on the Friday ride over the weekend covering the required 600+ miles and getting the first ...

Re: Givi Tanklock Vs Bagster EasyTrail.

I currently have a 20L Bagster attached to my Explorer using an Easytrail, which isn't ideal as the bag flops from side to side when there's any weight in it. (Originally it was on my 955 Tiger with a tank cover, and worked just fine) I'm now considering switching to a Givi tank bag using their Tan...
