Little help buying a bike please

If all goes to plan, this time next month I'll have nearly passed my bike test, meaning I can have a restricted 'big' bike. I've been looking around for a while (started looking at Honda XL 125's), and I've come to the conclusion that the BMW F650 is the bike I want. I've read how it's a good first ...

Re: Riding a bike on a full car licence.

Hmm I don't know if it's dedication or just being bothered to get up and get the wheels moving. If you've never ridden a bike before it can all be quite confusing, but once you get your head around it it's quite a simple procedure. If you've passed your car test you'll already know most of the theor...

Re: Riding a bike on a full car licence.

I'm going to be writing an article and blog for ABR soon about passing your bike test and what you can ride when, but in response to your question, your mate can't ride anything on that license. As Ipswichbiker mentioned he'll have to do a CBT, which is, as he says again, a day long course where you...

Ground level footage of the tsunami in Japan

So you've probably all heard about the earthquake and subsequent tsunami in Japan last Friday, and I'm sure we've all seen the overplayed news clips on repeat, but check out this amateur ground level footage filmed just as the tsunami was coming in. Absolutely crazy camera man, but he managed to get...

Re: Six-month suspended sentence for 149mph speeder

It was the most tragic and awful sight I've ever seen in over 30 years of climbing and Bryn got to see that at the age of 14. It did not put him off climbing but what it did do, without any prompting off me, was to transform his climbing from a slightly cocky teenager into a double check everything...

Re: Not Bike, but man, it's extreme 2

WOW! First time ive seen the speed of the freediver as they decend. Even more amazing is the cinematography - the cameraman was also free diving I think....no bubles from diving gear. The person doing the filming was the divers girlfriend, and your correct, she was also free diving. They obviously ...

Not Bike, but man, it's extreme 2

On the subject of "Not bike, but man, it's extreme" check out this awesome video of French free diver Guillaume Néry underwater base jumping into Dean's Blue Hole in the Bahamas. I doubt you'll have seen anything more amazing than this: [video]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQITWbAaDx0 [/v...

Re: Same old question: which tent?

Having been involved in importation from China, the systems seems to be... you place an order they send a sample which is crap (on the grounds they are seeing what they can get away with) you complain they then send decent stuff but over but over the period of a contract the quality will decline. B...
