Re: Tragedies on the Welsh roads yesterday
I'm beginning to wonder whether the risks are worth taking.

Re: What would you have done?
A read of the Road Traffic Act gives this: Nothing in paragraph (2)(b) shall be taken to prohibit a vehicle from being driven across, or so as to straddle, the continuous line referred to in that paragraph, if it is safe to do so and if necessary to do so— (a)to enable the vehicle to enter, from the...

Re: Hilarious !!! Angry drivers
The other advice I'd give, which I think is even more relevant, is that no matter how hard you are, there's always someone out there bigger and harder than you are. I can talk a good fight but not fight one! Beat 'em with politeness. They don't know how to respond. (An aside - my wife spent 25 years...

Re: Wiring up LED's. Confusing advice.
Ok. Firstly establish what the total wattage of your lights is. So, using Minkyheads example, two lights at 18Watts each makes 36 Watts total. Power (watts) is calculated by multiplying the voltage (V) by the current flowing (I). (W=VI) Rearrange the equation to find current as you know wattage(36) ...

Re: Hilarious !!! Angry drivers
Can't see the point in getting into an arguement. OK, the bloke has passed to close but an arguement isn't going to educate him; if anything it will cause him to be even more anti cyclist than he probably was. Be polite, ask for a little bit more room when passing and he may take it on board. If he ...

Help Me Choose A Bike
I'm looking for some help to choose a bike and I know there will be some good advice for me here ;) Passed my direct access last year (age 52). I had a 650 Transalp until recently but although it was a good bike it didn't quite work for me. It was a bit tall and heavy and I was finding it difficult ...

Re: DR250 Exhaust
Hi Rich.
Thanks. However, as I understand it, any non-original equipment needs a CE or BS mark. The bike also needs to meet noise limits specified in the construction and use regs.
My guess is that the FMF doesn't have these markings and is thus not "legal" for road use.

Re: DR250 Exhaust
Thanks Brenhden. My concern is as much with the constabulary than the MOT man - any experience/views/opinions?

DR250 Exhaust
I'm purchasing a DR250 which has an FRF exhaust fitted. I'm pretty certain that this isn't CE marked and as such is not going to be road legal. Can anyone confirm this and make a recommendation for one that would be legal?
Thanks!
Rich.

Re: Any imformation /directions to the west wales ABR rally?
WARNING! THE LAST FUEL AVAILABLE WILL BE IN HAVERFORDWEST. Garages are few and far between in Pembrokeshire and some are closed on Sundays, so ensure you've got a full tank if the opportunity arises. Tesco is en-route pretty much for everybody but you have a couple of other choices depending on rout...
