I like Klim gear and did have a pair of the Klim summer gloves until i lost one in Alaska.
Anyway, i use the BMW Winter Pro gloves (on my second pair as i lost one of them in Alaska too, don't ask) and a finer glove, IMO you wont get.

What exactly do you mean by "off road?". Gravel trails? Muddy rutted trails? It makes a difference which to the type of tyre you choose. Predominantly muddy tracks means a TKC 80 type is favoured but not essential as some riders seem to manage on anything. Gravel, stoney and generally hard...
