Re: Never Been to The Pyrenees.

Just a postscript to the above - that's not me fooling around with the autoshutter, it's actually a tailor's manekin all dressed up in skid lid, riding suit, etc. Wierd!!! And in case any of you were worried about the pink Duke ('70's 500 twin for non Ducati afficionados) it's done to match the cher...

Bicycle race altert!

I've just found out that there will be a big bicycle road race that will effectively block an area of the Pyrenees on Saturday June, 4th - when many of you at Britfrog's Perpignan bash will be thinking of setting off home! The route is as follows, I'll leave it to your imagination how long over 800 ...

Re: Atlantic coast alternative route.

Depending on where you strated my best route across Frane was always: Le Mans (of course) Tours, Poitiers, Angoulème, Perigaux, Bergerac, Vileneuve-sur-Lot, Agen, Auch and Auch. You can then vary according to destination. The A10 autorote from Tours to Pointiers makes a short but worthwhile zapp ac...

Re: Do you want a smaller twin-cylinder Adventure Bike?

Mornin' all, I think there's a desperate need for physically smaller bikes, but not necessarily a twin - OK that's my preference for singles. But the manufacturers know what sells more is dreams not realty and the 'bigger is better' mentality - jjst look at these monster 4x4's that can't go anywhere...

Re: Never Been to The Pyrenees.

Well, I'm grounded as far as Britfrog's Perpignan meet is concerned. I'm ordering a Wilbers shock that takes three weeks to put together - they don't come off-the-shelf! More complications; I'm dog sitting my own dogs at a camp site during that week too; while my wife is at home consoling a friend (...

Re: Never Been to The Pyrenees.

Thanks for the idea Pat Doesn't look like it - only Ohlins for the X.Challenge @ around €1.145,00 - and more or less the same in Sterling! I'm going to complain like billy-oh to BMW - shockers that last only 20,000 kms are not good enough! Grumpy - this almost looks like the end of my holiday this y...

Re: Camp Fire Cooking Recipes.

scrambled eggs in a bag; break eggs into a strong freezer bag, season (and some chilli flakes and celery or garlic salt goes well too). mush up the eggs to scramble them. put the bag in a pan of boiling water, occasionally taking it out and iving it a shake for that scramble effect. when cooked you...

Re: Never Been to The Pyrenees.

Big problems for me - new rear shocker €850 but offered second-hand one (200 kms) from trusted BMW dealer for €550 - big thinky-wallet-lookie!
