I have re adjusted it again now, see what happens i guess, I would like to know what i did wrong for it to tighten so substantially! On trail/enduro/dual-sport and whatever else you want to call them bikes. Looser is better than tighter. It doesn't take much muck on a chain and sprockets to take up...

I use ortlieb cycle panniers on my DRZ. They clip on much the same way and I use a couple of the skinny Rokstraps round them to stop them bouncing about off-road.
